City of Hampton is Hiring a Safety Training Coordinator Near Hampton, VA
Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social or Behavioral Science, Public or Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in researching and implementing organizational training programs, developing training materials and/or presenting trainings. Demonstrates progressively responsible experience in developing and managing workforce training plans. Must have knowledge of what is current and relevant in the training realm.
- One (1) year of experience in virtual learning environments. Knowledge of adult learning techniques, training design and delivery, and change management with a demonstrated ability to conduct training needs assessments.
- Experience in project management preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria.
- This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City’s current substance abuse policy.
- The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during city emergency situations, or at the direction of the City Manager or designee which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
